Edit and Format Email Campaign

Restobox Marketing App Account Required

  • Please ensure you are logged into https://app.restobox.com first before attempting this tutorial.
  • If you do not have an account, please contact your account manager.
  • If you forgot your password, click the link above, then “Forgot Password” to recover your password. 

Select and Changing Text

  1. Click on the text you want to edit
  2. Type to erase and change text as needed
  3. Text can be pasted into the text block

Inserting New Text Blocks

  1. Click on the + on the top left
  2. The “Text” block can be found under Elements
  3. Drag and drop the Text element in the desired section

Modify Text Colour

  1. Select the text to change color
  2. Click on the “A” icon in the text formatting toolbar to open the colour swatch.
  3. Click and choose the desired color.

Modify Text Formatting: Bold, Underline, Size

  1. Select the text to edit
  2. Review the options on the text formatting toolbar on top
  3. Click the bold, underline or sizing options as needed

Uploading and Replacing Images

Add a New Image

  1. Under Elements, select Image.
  2. Drag and drop it to the desired section. Click the image element, then click the image placeholder to start adding an image.
  3. Click the Pencil icon, then click Upload from the media library.
  4. Choose an image from the Media Storage, then click the Insert media button.

Edit The Size of The Image

  1. On the Edit Image section, scroll down until you see the Width and Height section.
  2. Click the minus or plus button to adjust the size.
  3. Click Save.

Upload a New Image To The Media Storage

  1. Click the image placeholder.
  2. On the Edit image settings, click the pencil icon, then click upload from media library.
  3. In the top left corner, click the Upload button.
  4. Choose the image you want to upload from your device.
  5. Once uploaded, click the image you uploaded, then click the Insert media button.
  6. Click Save.

Managing and Re-ordering Blocks (Sections)

Rearrange Block

To move a block, hover your mouse over it, click and hold the vertical dotted handle on the left side, then drag the block up or down to reposition it.

Clone Block

  1. To duplicate a section or block, hover over it and click the duplicate icon (two overlapping squares).
  2. After the block is cloned, click the pencil icon to edit and customize the new section or block.

Delete Block

To delete a section or block, click the trash icon. If you delete something by mistake, press Ctrl + Z to undo the action.

Mobile Responsive

Selectively Showing or Hiding a Section for PC / Mobile

  1. You can choose to show or hide a content block on desktop or mobile by hovering over the block and clicking the desktop icon (a monitor) or the mobile icon (a smartphone).
  2. If you don’t need to hide anything, avoid clicking these icons.
  3. When a section is hidden for a specific device, the corresponding icon (monitor or smartphone) will turn dark grey.
  4. Click the icon again to unhide the section.
  5. Hidden sections will not appear to users when they open the email on the device it is hidden from.

Note: Hidden sections may still appear when an email is forwarded, as some email programs remove custom CSS that controls visibility.

Sending a Test Email

Check Send Settings Before Using the Template

  1. Click on the three dots in the top right corner, then select Settings.
  2. In the settings panel, review and make sure the following fields are correct:
    • From Name – The name the recipient will see.
    • Preview Text – The short message that appears in the inbox before opening the email.
    • Email Subject – Should be relevant and appropriate for the content.
      • Since this is a template, the content may be generic.
        The From Email should stay the same across all templates and should not be changed.
  3. After checking the details, click Save to apply the settings.

Send Yourself a Test Email

  1. Click the three dots in the top right corner and select Test Email.
  2. Enter your email address in the “Send a Test to” field (this is where you’ll receive the test mail message).
  3. Optional: Check the box to set these emails as the default sender and receiver if applicable. If these values don’t change often, you can simply check the box and move on.
  4. Click Send Test Email.
  5. Check your inbox for the test email:
    • If received, verify that it appears correctly.
    • If not received, check your spam folder.
    • If it still doesn’t arrive after 10 minutes, contact support.
    • If it arrives but looks incorrect, contact support for help.
