Previewing an Email Campaign
When reviewing an email campaign, you can preview how it will look on both desktop and mobile devices.
- Click the three dots in the top right and select Preview Template. This lets you view the email without needing to save it first.
- Use the Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile view options to preview your email in all three modes and ensure everything displays correctly.
- Always preview in Mobile view — it’s easy to overlook layout or formatting issues when editing on a desktop.
Test an Email Campaign
Always test before sending to avoid mistakes! 😊
- Click the three dots in the top-right and select Test Email from the menu.
- The options are similar to testing templates. Enter your email address in the “Send a Test to” field, then click Send Test Email to receive it in your inbox.
Send and Schedule an Email Campaign
- In the left menu, click Marketing.
- At the top, go to Emails and select Campaigns from the dropdown menu.
- Click on the campaign you want to edit or send.
- Click Send or Schedule to proceed with sending.
- If you only want to save changes without sending, click Save on the left.
- If you want to send a test email first (not send for real), refer to the next section.
- You’ll see four sending options: Send Now, Schedule, Batch Schedule, and RSS Schedule.
- In most cases, you’ll use Send Now or Schedule.
- Before proceeding, double-check the Sender Name and Subject Line to ensure they are accurate and appropriate.
- If you choose Schedule, you’ll be prompted to select a date and time for the email to be sent.
The time zone used will match your company’s headquarters local time (as set in your system settings).
- Recipients: You have three main options for selecting recipients:
- All Contacts – Sends to everyone in your list. Typically not recommended unless you need to email everyone.
- Choose Contacts – Manually select specific individuals. Best for small groups or targeted sends.
- Send to Smart List – Sends to users filtered by custom rules saved as a Smart List.
- Choose Contacts from Tags – Sends to users who are assigned a specific tag.
- “Send to Smart List” and “Contacts from Tags” – the difference is that Smart List allows advanced custom filters, whereas Tags simply target users with a specific tag and do not support additional conditions.
- For convenience, the system will display the number of contacts selected based on your chosen recipient option.
- Once you’re finished, click Schedule or Send to send the email.
- Click Save to keep your changes as a draft without sending.
- Click Cancel to discard your changes.
Example of Sending to a Smart List
To send your email to a specific group, select Send to Smart List under the recipient options. You’ll see available Smart Lists. You can select one or both, depending on who you want to target for the campaign — and you can also create more Smart Lists if needed.
